Främmande ämnen i livsmedelskedjan

Panelen för främmande ämnen i livsmedelskedjan ger vetenskaplig rådgivning om främmande ämnen i livsmedelskedjan och oönskade ämnen såsom naturliga gifter, mykotoxiner och rester av otillåtna ämnen.

Panelledamöterna i panelen för främmande ämnen i livsmedelskedjan är vetenskapliga medarbetare från hela Europa som har expertis inom:

  • Kemi – organisk, oorganisk, analytisk kemi, livsmedels- och foderbearbetning inom området kemiska föroreningar
  • Exponeringsbedömning – expertis krävs särskilt i samband med bedömning av exponering för kemiska föroreningar via kosten inklusive kunskap om undersökningar av livsmedelskonsumtion
  • Toxikologi för människor och veterinär toxikologi (vid riskbedömning av kemikalier) – absorption, distribution, metabolism, utsöndring av ämnen (toxicokinetik och toxikodynamik), subkronisk och kronisk toxicitet (toxicitet vid upprepad dosering), genotoxicitet och mutagenicitet, utvecklings- och reproduktionstoxicitet, carcinogenicitet, allergenicitet och immuntoxicitet.
  • Toxikologiska test i försöksdjur – tolkning av toxiska effekter från kemiska föroreningar i boskap och husdjur
  • Epidemiologi – biomarkörer för effekter och exponering och tolkning av mänskliga data)
  • Statistik – bedömning av sambandet mellan dos och respons, t.ex. dosmodellering enligt riktmärke och analys av komplexa (epidemiologiska) datamängder
  • Djurfoder – exponeringsbedömning för djur.
