Ad hoc meeting on B-risk calculator (Bee Guidance)

Background

On 26-27 June 2024, EFSA met delegates from Member States, Switzerland, and CropLife Europe in the context of an ad hoc meeting.

The meeting aimed to discuss about the development of an on-line calculator which should implement the recently published Bee Guidance Document. As risk assessors in Member States and industry will be the final end-user of the calculator tool, it was considered important to get their feedback on a beta version.

Comments were made and extensively discussed. EFSA will now proceed to prioritise requests on the basis of their urgency and feasibility before making the necessary changes in the calculator. Further testing is foreseen for the following months to address errors and bugs before making B-risk available to the public.
