EFSA updates advice on possible risks of scrapie transmission in sheep embryo transfer

EFSA’s Biological Hazards Panel has confirmed a negligible to low risk of transmission of classical scrapie from embryo transfer in sheep. Using clearly defined genetic criteria in embryo selection can reduce the risk even further.
