Note: Amendment: An editorial correction was carried out that does not materially affect the contents or outcome of this scientific output. On page 42 of Appendix A – List of end points for the active substance and the representative formulation, two endpoints for mammals that were not accepted during the peer review but that erroneously were not deleted from the list of endpoints, have now been removed. These endpoints were however not used in the risk assessment and therefore the conclusion is not affected. To avoid confusion, the older version has been removed from the EFSA Journal, but is available on request, as is a version showing all the changes made.

Abstract

The conclusions of EFSA following the peer review of the initial risk assessments carried out by the competent authorities of the rapporteur Member State, Ireland, and co-rapporteur Member State, Belgium, for the pesticide active substance silthiofam are reported. The context of the peer review was that required by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 844/2012. The conclusions were reached on the basis of the evaluation of the representative use of silthiofam as a fungicide (seed treatment) on cereals (wheat, barley, triticale, spelt). The reliable end points, appropriate for use in regulatory risk assessment are presented. Missing information identified as being required by the regulatory framework is listed. Concerns are identified.
