Outcome of the public consultation on the draft guidance on the environmental risk assessment of plant pests

EFSA’s Scientific Panel on Plant Health (PLH) has undertaken a public consultation on the draft guidance on the environmental risk assessment of plant pests. The draft guidance was prepared by a dedicated working group of the PLH Panel, composed of members of the Panel and external experts. The document proposes methodology for assessing the environmental risks posed by harmful organisms that may enter, establish and spread in the European Union.

The public consultation was launched on 29 August 2011 and closed on 9 October 2011 (6 weeks).

EFSA has committed to publish a Technical Report on the outcome of the public consultation on the guidance. This Technical Report summarises the comments received through the public consultation and presents the responses of the PLH Panel to the comments.
