Organiżmi Ġenetikament Modifikati

Il-Bord dwar l-Organiżmi Ġenetikament Modifikati (OĠM) jipprovdi parir xjentifiku indipendenti dwar is-sikurezza alimentari u tal-għalf, il-valutazzjoni tar-riskju ambjentali u l-karatterizzazzjoni molekulari/ix-xjenza tal-pjanti. Ix-xogħol tiegħu jikkonċerna prinċipalment il-pjanti, il-mikroorganiżmi u l-annimali ġenetikament modifikati.

Il-Membri tal-Bord tal-OĠM huma xjenzati minn madwar l-Ewropa b’għarfien espert f’dawn li ġejjin:

  • Valutazzjoni dwar is-sikurezza alimentari u tal-għalf (pjanti ġenetikament modifikati, mikroorganiżmi ġenetikament modifikati, annimali ġenetikament modifikati)
    Tossikoloġija alimentari u ġenetika, immunoloġija, allerġija alimentari, nutrizzjoni tal-bniedem u tal-annimali, esponiment djetetiku, bijokimika u metaboliżmu, kimika alimentari, statistika tal-analiżi kompożizzjonali u disinn tal-prova fuq il-post, provi dwar l-għalf tal-annimali
  • Valutazzjoni tar-riskju ambjentali (pjanti ġenetikament modifikati, mikroorganiżmi ġenetikament modifikati u annimali ġenetikament modifikati)
    L-ekoloġija tal-insetti u d-dinamika tal-popolazzjoni, l-ekoloġija tal-pjanti, l-ekoloġija molekulari, l-ekotossikoloġija, il-bijoloġija tal-pjanti, il-patoloġija tal-pjanti, il-fiżjoloġija tal-pjanti, ix-xjenza tal-ħaxix ħażin, is-servizzi tal-ekosistema, ix-xjenza tal-ħamrija (l-organiżmi tal-ħamrija, il-proċessi bijokimiċi, il-proċessi abijotiċi), il-ġenetika tal-popolazzjoni tal-pjanti, l-evoluzzjoni tar-reżistenza fl-organiżmi ta’ ħsara fil-mira (l-entomoloġija, il-protezzjoni tal-għelejjel), it-tqassim f’żoni ġeografiċi u l-ambjenti riċeventi, ix-xjenza tal-pesti (il-protezzjoni tal-pjanti), l-impatt tal-agrikoltura fuq il-bijodiversità, il-fluss vertikali tal-ġeni, il-fluss orizzontali tal-ġeni, il-persistenza u l-invażività (id-dgħufija), l-impatt fuq l-organiżmi mhux fil-mira (l-entomoloġija, l-ekoloġija), l-immudellar matematiku, l-istatistika u l-bijometrija, id-disinn sperimentali (id-disinn tal-provi fuq il-post, id-disinn tat-test tal-laboratorju), l-agronomija, is-sistemi tal-għelejjel u l-prattiki agrikoli
  • Karatterizzazzjoni molekulari u xjenza tal-pjanti
    L-istruttura u l-evoluzzjoni tal-ġenoma, ir-regolamentazzjoni tal-ġeni, l-istabbiltà tal-ġenoma, il-bijoinformatika, it-tnissil tal-pjanti, il-bijoloġija molekulari, il-fiżjoloġija tal-pjanti u tal-mikrobi, il-bijokimika u l-metaboliżmu (pjanti, mikroorganiżmi), il-proteomika, it-traskriptomija, il-ġenomika, it-trasformazzjoni ġenetika, il-bijoloġija tal-pjanti, il-mikrobijoloġija alimentari, ir-reżistenza għall-antibijotiċi, l-immudellar matematiku, it-trasferiment orizzontali tal-ġeni, l-analiżi tal-espressjoni, l-analiżi tal-proteini, il-mikrobijoloġija ambjentali, il-ġenetika, l-ekoloġija.

What are EFSA's networks?

EFSA’s networks consist of nationally appointed EU Member State organisations with expertise in the fields covered by the network. Representatives of the Commission and of other organisations (including those from outside the EU) with specific expertise may also be invited to participate in the work of EFSA Networks.
